My Fellow Academy “Introduction to Manga Translation” VOD course will be held starting April 11. (Fellow Academy is a professional translation school in Tokyo.) This is a 90-minute recorded lecture where I cover the basics, mainly focusing on translating spoken lines and sound effects. I also discuss the skills and knowledge you need to become a professional manga translator. [Note: This is the same recorded lecture that was held last year.]
This is an online course, so you can enroll even if you live outside Japan. You can also watch the lecture as many times as you want during April 11–May 2. The application deadline is April 5.
